"🔔 [Restaurant name] — Call waiter · Table 4"
The message is sent to the restaurant's WhatsApp number. The waiter or kitchen receives it instantly on their phone. No hardware, no installation, no additional apps for the customer.
Why WhatsApp and not a proprietary app
WhatsApp has a 98% open rate and nearly everyone has it installed. A WhatsApp notification arrives within seconds and staff see it before any proprietary system would fire.
The history is also saved — if there are multiple simultaneous requests, staff can see all pending tables at a glance.

The customer just taps the button in the menu. WhatsApp opens on their phone (which almost certainly already has it installed) with the message ready to send. The whole process is a single tap.
Which plan includes the waiter call button?
The "Call waiter" button is an exclusive feature of the QRMenu Pro Business plan.
Does the restaurant need a WhatsApp Business number?
No. It works with any WhatsApp number. WhatsApp Business offers additional advantages but is not a requirement to use the call feature.
Can the button be disabled at certain times?
Currently the button appears whenever the restaurant has a WhatsApp number configured on the Business plan. Future versions will add time-based control.
